HELLO THERE. AND WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF TINMAN DIGITAL.
You're probably here because you're looking for a solution. Something that'll create talk, buzz, hype, interest, awareness, affiliation, likes, tweets, shares, views, comments, relationships, content, innovation, ideas, insights, analytics, business results, return on investment and more in the online space. Well, congratulations. You've found it! You've found us. Have a look around and let us know how we can get to the heart of your business.
We talk, listen and connect with people on social media platforms on behalf of brands.
According to a recent Nielson study, 92% of people trust recommendations from friends and family when making a purchasing decision. So it’s simple really, we build relationships through conversations and interactions. Why? To convert consumers and businesses into fans and followers, and fans and followers into brand adorers and advocates. Think of us as a word-of-mouth loudhailer combined with a recorder that’s always on and exceptionally good at mingling. And this is how we do it:

We do it because we believe that conversation leads to action, and action leads to change.
Change is what’s needed to improve things. Things like products, services and experiences. We understand that communities drive change and know that trust is essential to the process. But we’re not going to tell you that we want to change the world. We just want to change the way people connect with brands. And of course, how brands approach digital marketing. If we manage to make a difference because of that, then hey, high fives all round.
We use our heads and follow our gut. But most importantly, we add a whole lot of heart to everything we do. Because that’s what you need to get positive results. And that’s what our partners expect from us.
Let’s start with what we’re not. We’re not your typical digital agency. Gosh, we’re not even an agency. We’re people. A team of creative and technical-minded people with a great appreciation of anything digital.
We’re experienced in online marketing, passionate about social media and focused on delivering results through our three pillars: Intelligence, Engagement and Innovation. We know that the digital world can be a daunting place, but we believe in simplifying it and making it more human. With our personal and uncomplicated approach, we do digital with heart.
His title says ‘Director’, and that’s exactly what he does. He directs the flow of business, making sure that everyone is happy and everything is in just the right order – from clients to creatives, bank statements to funny statements, web connections to celeb connections. Ruan ‘direct’s it all and is also a proud member of ‘The Ginger Club’. http://gingerclub.webs.com
Johan used to be a Microsoft Engineer. He now engineers solutions. Creative business solutions. He seldom sleeps and is often in a perpetual state of thought. Because, according to him, thinking leads to action and action leads to… data. And that’s what gets him excited! So much so that he’s got what some might call an ‘excited tic’.
The third piece of the executive puzzle oversees new business. He’s known for efficaciously trading in solid H2O with the Inuit people of Alaska. But he’s not only a devotee of the perfect sales pitch – he appreciates a good musical pitch too. Family man, music man, salesman – dear potential clients, meet Riaan.
Above the line, below the line, through the line. Copywriter, producer, strategist. Charl has walked a few miles in a few advertising shoes. His bottom line is taking care of the client’s bottom line. And he’s recently ventured into forecasting marketing trends. His most recent prediction – you contacting tinMan to set up a meeting.
There’s only a few good men left in marketing, and Mike is one of them. His persistent passion for what he does makes him much more than a salesman. A natural born marketer. He just gets brands… like he gets around. And by that we’re referring to his love for travelling.
See this amazing website? Irene designed it. In her sleep. No seriously, when it comes to visually conveying brand messages, Irene gets the picture. She not only has a keen eye for composition, balance and space, but can also spot a pretty little deal. Yip, shopping is another obsession of hers. She calls it “research”.

Jaco talks in abbreviations. Only in abbreviations. HTML5, C++, PHP, ISO, CPU, ASSAP, ETC. He has over 20 years experience in computer languages, but can’t function without his cup of coffee in the morning. JAVA, of course. He allegedly started ‘The Ginger Club’ from his dorm room as a teenager.
When she’s not killing the enemy in the latest installment of Assassin’s Creed, she’s killing time developing websites and other incredible apps. And she’s rather awesome at all three practices. Anriette loves all animals, but her favourite is a species commonly know as ‘the computer mouse’.
Ever so stylish, ever so friendly. She’s the first person you see when you enter the office and always greets you with a smile. Even when saying “hello” over the phone. Ivy brings professionalism to the forefront of tinMan Digital. A people’s person and proud mom. Ivy is committed to delivering efficient service with heart – like all the tinMen and tinLadies.

Her Twitter bio says that she loves bacon. And she doesn’t mean Kevin Bacon. She also has a ‘healthy’ appetite for social media. With around 10 000 Twitter followers and over 7 000 tweets (at time of print), Rochelle has a lot to say and a lot of dedicated people listening. Little Miss Engagement, we call her.
Here we share insights, ideas and just general thoughts on what we do. Straight from the hearts of our tinMen and Ladies. Join the conversation and share your opinions.
You might see it as marketing jargon, but hey, that’s how ad folk like to package common sense. I’ll make it as straightforward as possible. In my opinion, advertising is moving away from the established ‘Reasons To Believe’ to a more relevant, less contrived and easily achievable – ‘Reasons To Like’. Any good marketer will [...]
